Renovations, done properly

From a single bathroom to a full gut renovation, we plan the work, pull the permits where they are needed and use licensed trades.

Older Toronto houses often hide surprises behind the walls. We open up early, price what we find in writing, and keep you updated before anything changes.

Questions

Can you turn my basement into a legal rental unit?

Often, yes. It depends on ceiling height, exits and egress windows, fire separation from the rest of the house and a separate entrance. We check these during the site visit.

Do I need a permit?

Structural changes, additions, new units and most plumbing, HVAC and electrical work need permits or inspections. Cosmetic work usually does not. We tell you which applies and handle the paperwork.

Can we stay at home during the work?

For many renovations, yes; we phase the work and keep a kitchen or bathroom working where we can. For whole-house renovations, most owners move out.
