Multiplex construction

We build multiplexes from the foundations up, and convert existing houses into self-contained units.

Bring us your permit drawings, or we can coordinate design and permits with our architects and engineers. Either way, we manage every trade on site and every City inspection through to occupancy.

Types of multiplex work

A

New build

Demolition of the existing house and a new multiplex built from the foundations up.

B

Conversion

An existing house divided into self-contained units, each with its own entrance, kitchen and bathroom.

C

Vertical addition

One or more storeys added to the existing structure, with any reinforcement it needs.

D

Rear or side addition

A new foundation and structure extending the footprint to make room for more units.

Questions

Can you build from my permit drawings?

Yes. Send us the drawings and any structural and mechanical engineering, and we will price the build by trade. If something in the drawings will cause problems on site, we flag it before you sign.

Do we have to demolish the existing house?

Not always. Many houses can be converted or extended. If a new build would be simpler or better value, we will price both so you can compare.

Can I stay in the house during construction?

Some conversions and additions can be phased so part of the house stays occupied. For a new build, you will need to live elsewhere during construction.
